There are four seasons in a year. They are winter spring, summer and autumn. There are three months in one season. Winter months are December , January and February. Spring months are March, April and May. Summer months are June , July and August. Autumn months are September, October and November.

1. Complete the dialogue. Work in pairs.

 2. Look at each picture and say which season it is and name its months.            Winter: It is the coldest season of the year. It often snows and there is much snow in winter. Children like to ski, skate, play snowballs, and make snow-man. They like this season, because Christmas and New Year holidays come in winter.

Spring: It is the most beautiful season of the year. Spring is warmer than winter, but it is colder than summer. The snow melts. The grass and the leaves are green.The Sun shines brighter and the days become longer.

Summer: It is the hottest season. The weather is fine . The Sun is brighter and the days are longer than in spring. There are many flowers , fruits, vegetables in summer. Choolchildren like summer very much . It is their favourite season. They have the longest holidays in summer. They like to swim in the river, to play in the yard or to walk in the garden.

Autumn: It brings rains and cold weather. But it is a tasy season, because there are a lot of fruits in autumn: apples, pears, grapes, plums, watermelons and melons. Autumn is a beautiful season. The leaves are red , green and yellow and they fall down from the trees.
